sparkling memorial day weekend

This weekend I visited PA and had a few days with the fam.  I decided it was long past due for a blog entry, so here is one of my favorite Ben moments below.  I'd like to post it as a light to honor our veterans and fallen soldiers...held by one of the cutest people I know.
 

Kristen & Steve's wedding

Derek and I attended the wedding of his gorgeous sister Kristen and her lovely husband Steve.  The first two pictures are taken after the wedding, outside of the Vanyo residence and in the neighboorhood, and the last two at the beach in Naples, Florida.  So glad to have spent this happy time with the Vanyo/Frey/Stucky fam!

The Roth family takes a well deserved, 10 second nap together during a brief portrait session. Their daughter, Anika Mei, arrived in this world 5 days before I took this picture.  I'm guessing this pic represents what they wish they could be doing (rather than what most of their days are like).  Love these guys.

robot restaurant

In Shinjuku, packed amongst the crowded streets of lights, Japanese pimps, and mayhem, there's a little place called Robot Restaurant.  It's advertised around Tokyo by cars towing not so little robot ladies with not so little breasts.  After descending a couple of floors to a reflective, neon tomb, sampling the meal, and having my brain almost short circuited by the overload of glow sticks, scantily clad women, and yes, dancing robots, it's a fair assessment to say that the price of admission wasn't for the food...
